Leila Cook is a fiber artist, writer and activist. Self- taught and specilaizing in knit and crochet design, she teaches her students the benefits of creative therapy through handwork. “Practicing the art of needlework brings with it so many benefits. First is participation in the creative process- there is a spiritual connection to creation that everyone can gleen from creating a beautiful and fuctional piece of fiber art. Second, needlework engages the mind and the senses promoting concentration and relaxation through the meditative process of repetitive motion. And third, finishing a needlecraft projects brings with it a sense of pride and accomplishment”. Leila lives with her husband and five children in beautiful middle Tennessee.
